How do I register for the Walkathon?

How do I create edit my fundraising page?

Everything to edit is on the left hand side of your fundraising page

✏️Title is your family Name
✏️Short Story (ie. the Roberto family is tying up their laces to walk 5km to Support TCS!)
✏️Set your family goal (We are asking families to set their family goal to $500. This is a suggestion only)
✏️Upload family picture/video (optional)
❗Once you are done editing:
✏️ Click the 🚀ROCKET icon to publish on the left hand side

Publishing makes your page active!

Can I still collect cash and cheque donation and input the amounts on my fundraising page?

Yes! They are called offline donations:

On your editor section (left side) of page…
•Find the 💲 symbol
•💲 click donation report

A page will show up with headings:
- ONLINE DONATIONS
- # OF DONATIONS
-OFFLINE DONATIONS

•💲click on the add offline donation
•💲Enter the info as you choose
•💲click complete donation

When can I collect my pledges/donations until?

We will be collecting money until June 4 for the Walkathon, BUT please know that if you get donations AFTER that, they are MORE than welcome and should go directly to the school. Donations over $25 are still always eligible for tax receipts.

What if I don’t want to run but would still like to participate?

Don’t worry about walking! It’s not everyone’s cup of tea! :)
You can still help us reach our $20,000 goal! Through our “register” link, there is an option to donate directly to TCS. You do NOT have to have a registered team with this option, as the donations will go directly to the school. OR you can pick a team at random to give your pledge to. Simply click on a team and donate on their page!

What if I want to participate BUT I don’t want to walk?

Well, while this IS a walkathon and the majority of people will be walking, there is no rule against running, or biking, or speed walking, or rollerblading. As long as we can “move” for 5km! That being said, you should probably let your sponsors (people donating/pledging) that you will be finishing the 5km by alternative methods! :)

Do I really have to RSVP? Can’t I just show up?

Please do! RSVPing helps us plan for food, drinks, snacks and more. If you RSVP, the chance we run out of goodies when you show up will lessen ;)

May I invite my friends and family to the carnival?

YES! Please remember to them RSVP as well!
Suggested contribution fee for the carnival: $40/family

What does the suggested contribution of
$40 cover

The $40 suggested contribution covers the family entrance, food and all activities provided by the TCS Carnival!

What foods will be available at the Carnival?

You can expect:
BBQ Bundle (1 bundle per person)
•Choice of 2 items: burgers and/or shot dogs (vegetarian options provided)
•1 drink
•1 bag of chips
•Freezie
