Welcome to TCS

Timothy Christian School is an elementary JK-8 Christian school and community of children, teachers and parents, working together to ensure our students’ spiritual, academic and personal growth. We serve over 170 students whose parents desire a Christ-centred education.

Located in west Toronto, TCS opened its doors in 1958 when a group of parents from the regional Christian Reformed Churches committed themselves to running a school where their Christian faith could be put into practice.

Since that time, we have grown! Many students have graduated from Timothy; some of those graduates are now sending their own children and continue to serve in our community! TCS now includes families from many different Protestant churches–families who share our vision for children to grow in faith in Christ as they grow academically. We are excited for the children in our care to learn about all that God has created and all that he has called us to be.

Parents and children are front and centre in the way we run and administer our school. The school is governed by a Board comprised of association members, most of whom have children in the school.

Our teachers, our Board and its Committees, our students and their parents, are operating on a model wherein the church, the home, and the school are all working together. It is important to us at TCS that we support, in our classroom teaching, what the parents are teaching at home and what all of us are seeking to express in our church life.

We are a Protestant Christian school. We are engaged in a voyage of discovery, searching for evidences of God’s handiwork in all facets of creation. We are also called to be responsible stewards of his Creation.

At TCS, we are engaged in providing those tools of spiritual discernment which will enable our students to become active contributing Ambassadors of Christ to our world.
